Inowrocław
The project to implement nature-based solutions (NBS) at Galeria Solna in Inowrocław involves opening up the pedestrian walkways and the outdoor dining area. Alongside the new green spaces, tall trees and shrubs will be planted to provide shade and create new rest areas for visitors. The design includes 124 tall trees and 477 shrubs. The front façades have been shaded by walls of climbing plants covering an area of 1,120 m², whilst eight pergolas have been added to provide shade for the pedestrian walkway and car parks; an area of 4,192 m² has been left to natural succession.
We have designed 684 m² of new green spaces, particularly along the pedestrian walkway leading to the main entrance, in the dining area and along the south façade.
We have designed climbing plants to grow along the south-facing façade.
To create shaded walkways from the car park to the shopping centre, we have designed ivy-covered pergolas above the pedestrian crossings
To protect water resources and biodiversity, we propose areas of natural succession in places where green spaces already exist.
